IDEAL Conference®
Participants Word Version of These Guidelines (Not in any particular order)
● Make sure that your PC and Internet connection meet the following minimum requirements: o Windows XP/Vista Operating System o 1 GHz Processor with XP; 2.5 GHz Processor with Vista o 1 GB of RAM with XP; 2 GB of RAM with Vista o Sound Card o Headset with built-in noise-canceling microphone; Note: The microphone may not be activated for some sessions. In these instances, please send your comments and questions to the presenters using the text chat feature of the system. o Internet Explorer V6-7; Do not use FireFox o High-speed connection to the Internet

Test your PC's
multimedia capabilities and Internet speed by clicking on the following link: ● If you plan to use the web client you will need to have the current version of flash installed on your computer. You can download Flash by accessing in the following link: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ ● Please run through the system tests above several days before your session. If you wait until the last minute to test things and run into problems, there will be no time to help you resolve problems. ● Always re-download the client by clicking on the "Click this link to download and install the IDEAL Conference® Plug-In” link on your conference room entry page before logging into your conference room. This should be done even though you may have already downloaded and installed the Plug-In during a recent previous session. This will insure that you are using the most current version of the Plug-In. Our Plug-Ins are frequently updated to add enhancements. ● Only use spaces and the letters a-z when entering your User Name. Do not use any other characters. ● Please be courteous and do not start a side conversation with someone using text chat while the presenter is presenting. ● If you are a JAWS user please read "How to Turn the JAWS Progress Bar off in a Conference Room." If you are using a Mac or Linux computer, or are experiencing a problem downloading and/or installing the IDEAL Conference® Plug-In: 1. Make sure that your PC and Internet connection meet the minimum requirements listed under option #1 above.
