Caption Colorado Real-Time Conference Captioning User Guide

 

The highly accurate discussion text, used also for live news captioning, streams to your computer monitor as the conversation happens, thanks to Computer Assisted Real-Time Captioning (CART) skilled captioners. With the easy-to-read transcript sitting there right in front of you, you can easily follow the flow of the meeting and all participants' comments. The speed of captioning is 225 words per minute with a 98% error free accuracy rate. The captions appear in an attractive captioning window that allows the viewer to select their favorite font type, size and color, plus background color.

 

Transcript service:

You may receive a free copy of the call transcript when you schedule a conference call; however, you must request a transcript at the time you initially order online. Authorized participants can view a copy of the session transcript at any time during the discussion in a separate viewer window. Meeting attendees that are late to a call can "catch up" on earlier dialogue while continuing to view the current discussion at the same time. Meeting attendees can view all of the text from the beginning of a call, with the full text made available for archive and distribution at the end of the call.

Remember to request a transcript at the time you initially order online. Due to the confidentiality requirements of relay service, we cannot accept late requests for transcript copies. Transcripts of the call will be sent to you via the email address provided. We cannot mail transcripts, so you must have a valid email address when you order.

 

Required notice:

To schedule Relay Conference Captioning for your meeting please, provide at least 48 hours' notice (2 working days) to guarantee coverage. Events with less than 48 hours' advance notice will be covered using our best efforts, but service cannot be guaranteed.

Scheduling Your Sprint Relay Conference CaptioningSM (RCC) Call

The RCC online ordering system makes it so easy to meet. Just follow these steps:

  1. Access your assigned customer account Web site

  2. Click on the line "Order Captioning Now"

  3. Enter the desired date, time, and conference call number

Note: RCC provides the captioning and voice relay services for a conference call. RCC does not provide the conference call bridge. Ask your Sprint Representative about our portfolio of audio conferencing services.

 

Scheduling Considerations:

Consider these two things when scheduling an RCC call:

1) Transcript Service

  • A free copy of the call transcript is available if requested at the time of the initial online order

  • Due to confidentiality requirements, late requests cannot be accepted

  • A valid email address is required for transcript delivery

2) Required Notice

  • For guaranteed coverage, a 48-hour notice (two working days) is required for any captioned conference call

  • Requests with less than 48 hours notice will be worked on a "best effort" basis but cannot be guaranteed
